SCHOOL PROFILE Founded in 1870, Assumption College Catholic High School is the oldest school in Windsor, Ontario. Students have a wide selection of academic options, such as the world-renowned International Baccalaureate Diploma, various Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSMs), and dual enrollment courses for college credit at nearby St. Clair College. FACILITIES Assumption Catholic’s facilities include computer labs, athletic fields and courts, a gymnasium, a food lab, and modern, high-tech classrooms. Students have the opportunity to take dual enrollment classes on the St. Clair College campus. SPORTS AND ARTS International students at ACC can compete on freshman, junior varsity, and varsity level sports teams such as cross country, slow-pitch softball, and hockey. The school offers art courses including drama, music, and visual arts. Students can participate in extracurriculars such as yearbook and art club. AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS Assumption College students won several first and third place titles at the 2018 University of Guelph Business Pentathlon. Grade 10 and 11 ACC students competed in the 2018 Waterloo Math Contest; a grade 10 student placed in the top 0.3% out of 21,600 while a grade 11 student placed in the top 0.2% out of 17,600.
